Meet Tania

Here's a little background on me.
I am a fully certified celebrant holding the Certificate of Distinction in Funeral Celebrancy from the Academy of Professional Funeral Celebrants.

Born and raised in Wiltshire, I moved to Coventry in 1991 to begin a career as a primary school teacher. I became a mum to three lovely children a few years later. Both experiences have given me so many wonderful memories.

Two funerals impacted me in very different ways. They ultimately played a big part in my choosing to become a funeral celebrant.

The first was my Grandad’s. It had minimal family involvement and I left feeling that it was less about Grandad and more a service that could have been for anyone. I felt strongly that we had let him down at the end by not giving him the farewell he deserved. Consequently, when my Nan and Aunty died, I volunteered to write and read their eulogies having collected stories from family and friends.

The second was a good friend’s funeral. Everyone wore the clothes they would wear if they were having a natter with her. Her daughters wore tracksuits and shared stories that celebrated their lives together. There was a prayer and a poem. They played pop music that she had loved. I left feeling that she had been at the heart of the service and that she had got a respectful farewell that both celebrated her life and allowed me to grieve her passing.

Getting it right first time.
Having seen firsthand, the effects of getting it wrong and getting it right, I decided to become a funeral celebrant who would do it right.

Grieving is hard. Amid this storm, and perhaps feeling overwhelmed by strong emotions or frozen in shock, you have a funeral to organize. Here is my hand.

Let me walk with you for a while. Let me listen to your stories, as you help me to see your loved one’s life, through your eyes and I will use them to craft the service that you want.

Because everyone deserves a bespoke and beautiful farewell.
Helping you every step of the way...
Creative writing is a passion of mine, capturing the essence of family values, weaving the wishes and beliefs of a loved one into the service to bring their story to life. I am inspired by the families I work with to actively listen, crafting and delivering unique ceremonies that are truly personalised and infused with love, compassion and genuine emotion.

I am meticulous in my planning and I will work directly with you, or alongside your funeral director, to ensure that every last detail of the ceremony is executed perfectly, surrounded by family and friends. I would be delighted to have a conversation with you; I will always go the ‘extra mile’ for my clients and dedicate my time in providing exceptional service and care.

Get in touch and we can start talking about your loved one's ceremony! I'm always happy to have a chat, there's no obligation.
